Just In: Arsenal’s Manager, Mikel Arteta, Excludes Arsenal Star from Future Plans

    adminBy adminSeptember 8, 2023No Comments2 Mins Read

Recent reports from the UK Mirror reveal that Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta, has informed Nicolas Pepe that he won’t be part of the club’s future plans.

Discussions are currently ongoing between the club’s executives and the Ivorian winger to arrange his departure.

Nicolas Pepe, 28, who became Arsenal’s record signing four years ago with a £72 million transfer from Lille, has made 112 appearances and scored 27 goals during his time at the club.

However, he has fallen out of favor in recent times, leading to a loan spell at Nice last season.

Despite seeking a new team this summer, Pepe has been unable to secure a transfer, and with less than a year left on his contract, he may not move until January unless an agreement is reached to terminate his contract early.

While a move to the Saudi Pro League before their transfer window closes seems unlikely, there’s still a chance for Pepe to find a new destination in Turkey, as Turkish teams can sign players until September 15.

This development signals a significant shift in Pepe’s Arsenal career, as Arteta appears to have firmly excluded him from the first-team picture.

The club’s focus now likely lies in reaching a financial arrangement with Pepe to resolve the situation amicably.

For Pepe, this represents a challenging period as he looks to revive his career and secure regular playing time elsewhere.

His time at Arsenal, marked by inconsistency, has left him in a delicate situation due to his inability to secure a summer transfer.

As negotiations unfold, it will be intriguing to see how the parties involved navigate this situation and whether Pepe will ultimately find a new club or remain with Arsenal until January.
