Witness Mason Greenwood’s debut for Getafe, where he faced the wrath of Osasuna fans.

Manchester United’s forward, Mason Greenwood, secured a loan deal with Getafe on the transfer window’s last day.

However, this move was met with significant backlash and criticism, particularly due to past allegations of misconduct against Greenwood. Since December 2021, he had not been part of any Manchester United games.

Initially, Manchester United had reinstated him after all charges against him were dropped, but they quickly reversed this decision due to strong protests from their own supporters.

Subsequently, Greenwood was loaned to Getafe, who embraced the young striker despite the controversies surrounding his past.

In his Getafe club debut against Osasuna, Greenwood made an appearance coming off the bench in the 77th minute.

The Getafe supporters gave him a warm reception with a standing ovation. However, the situation took a darker turn when Osasuna supporters shouted “Greenwood, die” at the footballer, reflecting their disdain.

Unfortunately, such hostile taunts from Osasuna supporters are not uncommon, and Greenwood may face criticism from other supporters as well. It appears that he will have to deal with this for the entirety of his professional career.
