Liverpool is showing a strong interest in securing a Real Madrid standout for around £100 million as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah.

Recent reports emerging from Spain have ignited speculation regarding Liverpool’s apparent interest in securing the highly esteemed Real Madrid winger, Rodrygo, to fill the potential void left by Mohamed Salah.

Just last month, an offer of £150 million for Salah from Al Ittihad, a Saudi club, was rejected. Rumors even swirled about an astonishing £215 million bid on the table for the Egyptian international.

Spanish sources suggest that Liverpool is showing a strong interest in acquiring Rodrygo as a prospective replacement for Salah.

Rodrygo, who joined Real Madrid in 2019, has since evolved into one of their pivotal players. His impact has been notable, with 170 appearances across various competitions, contributing 38 goals and 32 assists.

He possesses a knack for scoring in crucial matches, evident in his goals during the Copa del Rey championship game and pivotal moments in the Champions League quarterfinals and semifinals against formidable opponents.

The versatile winger, also capable of playing as a center-forward, could potentially be the type of player Liverpool needs to consistently vie for titles.

However, this transition won’t come without a significant cost. Reports indicate that Real Madrid would demand a fee exceeding €100 million (approximately £86.5 million) to consider parting ways with one of their prized players, such as Rodrygo.

For Liverpool to finalize this acquisition, a substantial financial investment may be necessary. The proceeds from Salah’s potential sale for £215 million would provide the financial means needed to pursue Rodrygo as a viable replacement.
