Devastating news regarding Cole Palmer, a former Manchester City star, was announced by the England coach after England Under-21s defeated Serbia 9-0.

Cole Palmer, a Chelsea forward, sustained an injury while playing for England Under-21s.

The incident took place in the first half at the City Ground. Although the 21-year-old continued playing into the second half with his right thigh wrapped, he had to exit the game six minutes into the latter half due to discomfort in the same thigh.

Palmer was able to walk off the pitch unaided and removed the bandage as he neared the touchline.

Lee Carsley, the head coach of England Under-21s, mentioned post-game, ‘There are a few bumps and bruises, and we will monitor Cole, but we will not be taking any chances.’

In the summer transfer window, Palmer made a £42.5 million move from Manchester City to Chelsea. He has featured in six matches for Mauricio Pochettino’s team, contributing one goal and two assists.

Meanwhile, England Under-21s triumphed over Serbia 9-1, marking their largest victory since a 9-0 win against San Marino in 2013.

Noni Madueke, Jaden Philogene, and Harvey Elliot each scored twice. Liam Delay and Jonathan Rowe also found the net, and Luka Subotic recorded an own goal late in the match.

With three wins in as many games, England remains at the top of Group F.
