An arrest warrant has been issued for Daniel Sturridge, the former Liverpool and Chelsea player, as he failed to appear in a Los Angeles court regarding a monetary dispute linked to his missing dog.
In 2019, Sturridge’s Pomeranian, Lucci, went missing from his LA residence. American rapper Foster Washington, also known as Killa Fame, claimed credit for reuniting Sturridge with his dog. Sturridge had offered a reward for Lucci’s return.
Sturridge stated that a boy found his dog and received the reward. However, Washington asserted that he found the dog and was owed the reward promised by Sturridge.
When Sturridge did not respond to the matter, an LA court ordered him to pay Washington $30,000 in December 2021.
Recently, Sturridge was required to attend a ‘debtor’s exam’ to address his finances in court, but he did not show up, resulting in a bench warrant issued for his arrest. A new hearing is scheduled for November 30 to resolve the dispute between Sturridge and Killa Fame.
