Unfortunate news concerning Chelsea has been officially disclosed this morning following an investigation by the Premier League into the transfers of two players.

The Premier League is currently conducting an investigation into Chelsea Football Club’s transfer dealings involving two players.

These players in question are Willian and Samuel Eto’o. These transfers took place during the ownership of Roman Abramovich, a Russian billionaire, who was the previous owner of the club.

The Premier League’s inquiry is said to have been initiated due to concerns raised by the club’s current ownership regarding these specific transfers.

According to reports from The Times, there are allegations of additional payments being made to undisclosed Russian businesses during the transfers of Eto’o and Willian from Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013. These payments are raising eyebrows as these entities were not officially involved in the transfer processes.

The current status of the investigation remains unclear, but it was reported two months ago that Chelsea could potentially face point deductions if they are found to have violated any regulations.

It’s worth noting that Chelsea has a history of facing penalties for rule violations, as they were previously penalized when acquiring Andreas Christensen from the Danish club Brondby in 2012.
