Former Manchester City and England star, aged only 27, retires from professional football.

Former professional footballer Kean Bryan, notable for his time with Manchester City and Sheffield United, has officially declared his retirement from the game at the age of 27.

His decision was precipitated by an enduring struggle with a knee injury, which ultimately resulted in medical counsel to step away from professional football.

Bryan earned acclaim for an unforgettable goal during Sheffield United’s historic 2-1 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford merely two years ago. His early promise hinted at a bright career, but the persistent injury compelled him to reassess his future in the sport.

Although Bryan’s football journey commenced as a youth player with Manchester City, he never had the chance to partake in any competitive matches for the club. Instead, he made his mark at various lower-tier clubs.

Sheffield United conveyed their best wishes to Bryan and acknowledged his contributions to the team. In his retirement announcement, Bryan expressed his gratitude for realizing his childhood dreams of becoming a professional footballer.

He treasured the experience of competing in the Premier League and representing some of England’s most prominent football clubs, despite the physical challenges that ultimately led to his exit from the sport.
