Mikel Arteta has shared highly positive updates about Odegaard this evening.

Mikel Arteta expresses confidence in Martin Odegaard’s recovery after the international break but refrains from specifying the exact timeline for the midfielder’s return.

Odegaard, who suffered an injury in training before the Newcastle match, has missed three consecutive games. While included in the national team’s squad for upcoming fixtures, it appears Odegaard will continue his recovery in London for the next few weeks.

When asked about Odegaard’s return, Arteta states, “I think he’s going to be back after the international break, but I don’t know exactly what’s the decision and the communication at the moment.”

Regarding Tomi, Arteta addresses a minor issue, stating, “Only his eye, his contact lens. He had a problem with his lens. But the rest, he was top. Really good performance, Tomiyasu.”

Providing insights into Jorginho’s situation, Arteta mentions, “He had a few bad cuts I think, so they could not sort it out on the pitch, so they decided to take it out and hopefully he’s fine.

I think he was really good again today, the way this guy is competing, coaching, and supporting the team in any way, I’m really happy with him.”

As for Ben White’s absence from the matchday squad, Arteta reveals, “Yesterday in training he wasn’t comfortable, he didn’t look right, but Ben won’t give you much.

He always wants to be on the pitch and he wants to hide anything that is in there, but we noticed in the last few weeks something happening there, and we wanted to protect him. It was the right call from the physio and the medical department, and tomorrow we will assess him and understand what’s happening.”

Arteta’s cautious approach with injured players reflects the club’s commitment to their well-being, emphasizing the importance of ensuring players are fully fit before returning to the pitch.

The updates on various players provide a comprehensive view of the team’s current health status, contributing to a transparent communication approach with the fans and stakeholders.
