There is a possibility that Bruno Fernandes might depart Manchester United in January to join one of the premier clubs in global football.

Recent reports from Spain have identified Bruno Fernandes as the next major target for the Saudi Pro League, with speculations of bids reaching €100 million (£87.5 million) expected to reach Manchester United soon. While Fernandes did not outright dismiss the possibility of a transfer, he emphasized his current dedication to succeeding with both Manchester United and the Portuguese national team.

Addressing the ongoing rumors, Fernandes stated in a press conference, “Being coveted is always good, regardless of the league and the club. But my focus is on the national team and Manchester United, I’m happy where I am.” He underlined his commitment to his current teams and expressed contentment despite a challenging start to the season with Manchester United.

Acknowledging the flattering interest, Fernandes emphasized that he does not let market rumors distract him. “I don’t look much at market rumors, they’re things I’ve never wanted to see. Until the moment something concrete comes to me, I don’t care what I see,” he added. The 29-year-old midfielder preferred to remain focused on his immediate goals rather than getting swayed by speculative reports.

Fernandes, who remains under contract at Old Trafford until 2026, reassured Manchester United that he is not actively seeking a move. This contractual stability puts the club in a comfortable position, with no immediate pressure to entertain offers for their captain.

In addition to Fernandes, another Manchester United star reportedly on the radar of Saudi clubs is winger Jadon Sancho. However, Sancho’s potential departure in January seems more likely due to his ongoing feud with manager Erik ten Hag. While Saudi clubs expressed interest in Sancho during the summer, the 23-year-old is not currently inclined towards a move to the Middle East.

Sancho’s representatives have made it clear that they won’t be compelled into negotiations solely based on the highest bidder. Instead, Sancho is reportedly eyeing a move to another top European league. Although a return to former club Borussia Dortmund is his preference, financial complexities surrounding the deal pose a challenge. Other suitors, such as Juventus, may also find it difficult to afford the intricacies of Sancho’s potential transfer.

As the transfer speculation continues, both Fernandes and Sancho find themselves at the center of attention, with their decisions likely to shape the dynamics of the upcoming transfer window and influence the trajectory of their respective careers.
