Premier League clubs are contemplating the prospect of securing a brief loan deal for Saudi Arabian striker Roberto Firmino.

Similar to Benzema’s departure from Real Madrid last summer, there are indications that a player from Al-Ittihad might be seeking an exit. Recent reports state that the player missed a discussion ahead of the club’s pre-season training camp, leading to his exclusion from the tour.

This has sparked speculation that Chelsea could be interested in acquiring either of these players in the coming weeks. However, it’s noted that Armando Broja might be on the verge of leaving, either permanently or on loan, should Chelsea bring in a new striker this winter.

Chelsea’s forwards have faced challenges in finding the net, and injuries to Christopher Nkunku have compounded the situation. Despite the team’s recent success, winning three consecutive Premier League games, all by a single goal margin, highlights the need for more attacking prowess.

Currently, Cole Palmer, an attacking midfielder, leads the club with nine goals this season, while Nicolas Jackson has scored seven. Doubts linger over Jackson’s consistency in finding the net.

Broja and Nkunku, the other central attacking options, have combined for just three goals. Nkunku, in particular, has struggled with fitness since joining Stamford Bridge.

Both Benzema and Firmino, while potentially beyond their prime, bring a wealth of experience with 603 goals and numerous trophies in their careers.

Their addition could provide Chelsea with valuable knowledge and firepower for the latter part of the season. Mauricio Pochettino’s stance on new signings remains uncertain.

In his recent press conference before a brief trip to Spain, the Chelsea manager expressed his readiness to be available 24/7 for any communication from the sporting director or owners. However, he acknowledged the unpredictability of the sports industry, stating that if the phone didn’t ring, he would prefer it that way.

The potential arrivals of Benzema or Firmino could inject vitality into Chelsea’s attacking lineup, addressing the need for more goals in their pursuit of success this season. Pochettino’s receptiveness to new signings adds an element of intrigue, leaving Chelsea fans and observers to await developments in the coming weeks.
