Manchester City is leading in the race to sign a £30 million Real Madrid target, often compared to Vinicius Jr. With 12 goals and 6 assists this season, he’s a rare gem.

Manchester City has surged ahead in the race to secure a £30 million deal for Savio, leaving Real Madrid out of contention, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The Brazilian sensation, who is currently on loan at Girona, a club owned by the City Football Group, has caught the attention of Pep Guardiola with his impressive performances in Spain.

Savio’s affiliation with the City Football Group has facilitated the potential transfer to Manchester City this summer. The winger is expected to be available for a relatively modest fee of £10 million, a significant advantage compared to the three times higher cost for any other European team interested in signing him.

The Daily Star suggests that Real Madrid views Savio, at 19 years old, as a player who could potentially emulate the success of Vinicius Junior. However, with Manchester City leading the race and the appealing prospect of a lower transfer fee, Real Madrid’s aspirations might be at risk.

In the current La Liga season, Savio has made 21 appearances for Girona, contributing five goals and seven assists. Impressively, Girona currently sits atop the league table. The youngster’s performances have not only attracted the attention of Guardiola but also sparked interest from other top European clubs, including Barcelona.

Savio himself has expressed a desire to join Manchester City, praising the City Group’s project. He stated, “The City Group is a very good project. That’s a great idea from the City Group. If I do well, I hope Manchester City will want to hire me.” Given his strong showing in Spain, it appears likely that Savio’s wish to join Manchester City will materialize.

The potential signing of Savio could impact Real Madrid’s plans, especially as they had identified him as a player with similar potential to Vinicius Junior.

With Barcelona also in the mix, both Xavi and Carlo Ancelotti might face disappointment if Manchester City secures the talented Brazilian winger. The developments surrounding Savio’s transfer are certainly worth keeping a close eye on as the summer window approaches.
