Erik Ten Hag indicates readiness to offload Rashford for £50 million to finance Mbappe transfer.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), concerned about the potential departure of Kylian Mbappe, is reportedly revisiting their interest in Marcus Rashford as they look for left-wingers in preparation for the upcoming summer transfer window.

The French club had previously considered signing the Manchester United star before he extended his contract in the summer. Rashford, who scored 30 goals last season, has faced challenges in recapturing that form and has garnered attention for off-field incidents this season.

The 26-year-old recently called in sick for Manchester United’s FA Cup match against Newport County, citing successive nights spent at a Belfast nightclub. While head coach Erik ten Hag referred to the situation as an “internal matter,” Rashford has not faced any public punishment, despite this being the second instance in four months where he missed work due to partying. In contrast, Jadon Sancho was temporarily excluded from the Man Utd squad in September for disciplinary reasons.

Speculation about Rashford’s future has intensified following the recent incident, with rumors suggesting a potential departure from the club. However, the latest report indicates that Manchester United has no intention of parting ways with their academy graduate.

PSG, however, could emerge as a potential destination for Rashford, offering him an escape route from Manchester if Mbappe decides to leave the French club. Presently, Mbappe is said to be uncertain about departing PSG.

While selling Rashford could provide additional funds, alongside Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s investment, allowing the reshaping of the Manchester United squad, the report suggests that signing the English star is not currently the top priority on PSG’s agenda. The situation remains dynamic, with ongoing discussions and considerations surrounding the futures of both Rashford and Mbappe in theupcoming transfer window.
