Burnley manager Vincent Kompany lauds the exceptional performance of a particular Arsenal player in yesterday’s match.

Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta, praised Martin Odegaard for his outstanding display in the Premier League clash against Burnley, where the Gunners secured an emphatic 5-0 victory, extending their winning streak to five consecutive matches.

Odegaard played a crucial role in the win, scoring in just the fourth minute and providing an assist for Bukayo Saka’s second goal.

Arteta expressed his satisfaction with Odegaard’s current form, describing him as being in a “really excellent” phase and hitting top form at the ideal moment.

Arteta emphasized Odegaard’s confidence and physical contribution in both defensive and offensive aspects, highlighting the positive impact of his movement and connection on the right flank of the pitch.

Despite Odegaard’s gesture of covering his ears after scoring, which could have been a response to recent criticism of Arsenal’s celebrations, Arteta claimed not to have noticed the gesture.

Arsenal has shown impressive goal-scoring prowess, netting 21 goals in their last five victories, a stark improvement compared to their previous five games where they managed to score only four goals.

Looking ahead, Arteta expressed optimism that Arsenal will maintain their fine form as they prepare to face Porto in the Champions League round of 16.

The first leg is set to take place at the Estadio do Dragao, and Arteta is hopeful about the team’s performance.

Arsenal aims to break a streak of three winless away trips to Porto, having drawn once and lost twice in previous encounters.

The upcoming match presents an opportunity for Arsenal to gain a significant advantage in the second leg and continue their positive momentum across various competitions.
