In a significant development reported by MARCA’s Carlos Carpio, Kylian Mbappe has reportedly finalized a contract with Real Madrid, securing his services until the summer of 2029.
According to Carpio’s report, Mbappe and Real Madrid concluded the terms of their contract several weeks ago, with the player formally committing to join the Merengues on July
The 25-year-old French forward has long been a subject of speculation regarding a move to Los Blancos, particularly with his contract with Paris Saint-Germain set to expire at the conclusion of the current season.
Following Mbappe’s confirmation of his intention to depart PSG earlier this month, the anticipation surrounding a summer transfer to Real Madrid intensified.
Discussions between Mbappe and Real Madrid gained momentum in January, when the Spanish club initiated contact with the player and his representatives.
Subsequently, an agreement was reached earlier this month, paving the way for Mbappe’s highly anticipated switch to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Despite earlier reports suggesting interest from other prominent clubs, including Manchester City, it now appears that Mbappe’s destination is firmly established as Madrid.
Notably, the terms offered by Real Madrid to Mbappe are said to be more modest than those presented during previous negotiations in 2022.
Nonetheless, Mbappe is poised to become the highest-earning player in the Real Madrid squad, albeit with a salary that closely aligns with the current top earners in the team, namely Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, and David Alaba.
Sources familiar with the negotiations indicate that Mbappe’s contract will feature a tiered structure of compensation, ranging between €15-20 million net per year.
Additionally, performance-based bonuses tied to specific objectives over the duration of the five-year agreement are included.
Mbappe’s impending arrival at Real Madrid represents a significant coup for the club, bolstering their attacking prowess and underscoring their ambition to contend at the pinnacle of both domestic and European football competitions.
