Just one week after the takeover by Manchester United’s new owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, decisive action has been taken regarding two players at the club.

Ratcliffe’s investment of £1.25 billion in United has recently been finalized, marking a significant shift in ownership dynamics at the club.

With INEOS now holding approximately 25 percent of the shares, they have assumed control of the club’s football operations, although the Glazer family retains the majority ownership.

United opted for a quiet January transfer window, mirroring a trend seen across the Premier League.

Currently positioned sixth in the Premier League table, the team’s primary objective remains securing a Champions League berth for the next season.

However, United’s ambitions took a hit after a 2-1 defeat to Fulham at Old Trafford, widening the gap between them and the Champions League spots.

Aston Villa’s win over Nottingham Forest further distanced them from Erik ten Hag’s side in the league standings.

As the summer transfer window approaches, speculation swirls around the futures of several players in the United squad. INEOS’s inaugural summer at Old Trafford is anticipated to be eventful, with potential ins and outs shaping the team’s roster.

Reports indicate that midfielders Casemiro and Sofyan Amrabat are likely to depart in the summer. Amrabat, currently on loan from Fiorentina, is not expected to secure a permanent deal.

Meanwhile, United are exploring the possibility of selling Casemiro, who was acquired from Real Madrid in 2022, if a suitable buyer can be found.

In a surprising twist, United are rumored to be eyeing a summer move for Luton Town midfielder Ross Barkley to bolster their squad in light of potential departures.

The upcoming transfer window promises intrigue and activity for United, as they navigate player movements to strengthen their squad while adhering to Financial Fair Play regulations.

With INEOS now wielding influence at Old Trafford, fans can expect a period of transition and evolution as the club charts its course for the future.
