Players and managers have come together to show their support for Jack Grealish after devastating news was confirmed this afternoon.

In Manchester City’s convincing 6-2 victory over Luton Town in the FA Cup, Jack Grealish was handed a rare opportunity to start but unfortunately suffered a fresh injury setback, prompting his early exit from the match before halftime.

Grealish’s visible frustration was palpable as he sat on the bench, receiving comfort from teammates while watching his team dominate the game in his absence.

The injury occurred around the 30-minute mark at Kenilworth Road when Grealish appeared to strain a muscle while making a pass on the right side of the pitch.

Despite initially trying to soldier on, the 28-year-old soon realized he was unable to continue and was replaced by Jeremy Doku before the break.

Following the game, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola confirmed that Grealish had sustained a groin injury, expressing disappointment at the recurrence of the problem.

Guardiola mentioned, “I haven’t spoken to doctors, but I believe he experienced some discomfort in the groin area. It may be similar to previous issues. He seemed to be in good spirits, but unfortunately, he suffered another injury early in the match.”

Grealish had only recently returned to action after a previous injury sustained during Manchester City’s Champions League encounter against Copenhagen in mid-March, making this latest setback particularly disheartening.

The specific timeline for Grealish’s recovery remains uncertain pending further evaluation by Manchester City’s medical staff, leaving Guardiola concerned about the situation.

With crucial matches against Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal scheduled before the end of March, Guardiola is eager to see Grealish back on the field as soon as possible to bolster the squad for the upcoming challenges.
