A credible insider at FC Barcelona has confirmed that two key players will depart the club at the end of the season alongside Xavi.

It has been several weeks since Xavi Hernandez announced his impending departure from FC Barcelona at the end of the season, leaving the club in a state of uncertainty regarding their next manager.

Despite various names being linked with the role, Barcelona’s improved form under Xavi has temporarily halted the search for his successor.

While Xavi’s departure is not set in stone, Barcelona has given the current head coach three weeks before making a final decision on his future.

A meeting between the two parties is scheduled after the upcoming El Clasico to assess the situation and determine the way forward.

Achieving qualification for the Champions League quarter-finals was a key objective for Barcelona this season, a goal that has been accomplished under Xavi’s guidance.

The team’s continued fight for the league title alongside Real Madrid adds further significance to the remaining fixtures, particularly against PSG and Real Madrid.

The outcome of Barcelona’s Champions League campaign will play a crucial role in Xavi’s potential continuation at the club.

Qualification for the semi-finals may sway Barcelona’s efforts to convince Xavi to stay, while failure at this stage, coupled with a failure to narrow the points gap with Real Madrid, could diminish his chances of remaining in charge.

Internally, opinions on Xavi’s future are divided. President Laporta is a staunch supporter of Xavi, believing he is the best option to lead Barcelona, especially considering the perceived weaknesses of other managerial candidates.

There are voices within the club advocating for a fresh start and a new project, while still leaving the door open for Xavi’s return in the future.

Xavi himself has not given any indication of reversing his decision to leave, but he has also not completely ruled out the possibility of staying.

He will have certain conditions before considering a continuation as Barcelona’s manager, with reinforcements in midfield and on the left-wing topping his list of demands.
