Barcelona has reportedly expressed interest in signing Bayern Munich forward Bryan Zaragoza during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Zaragoza’s journey to Bayern began with a loan move from Granada in January 2024, with the intention of making the deal permanent in the summer.

Zaragoza has faced challenges adapting to his new club, making only two appearances totaling 35 minutes of playing time.

According to reports, his struggles are exacerbated by a lack of fluency in German or English.

As a result, both Zaragoza and Bayern are considering the possibility of parting ways in the summer, with Barcelona emerging as a potential destination.

Barcelona had previously shown interest in Zaragoza during his time at Granada but was unable to meet the asking price, estimated between €15-20 million.

Now, Barcelona is looking to secure Zaragoza’s services on an initial loan basis, with an option to buy, with the total fee not exceeding €20 million. However, the outcome depends on negotiations between the two clubs.

Before joining Bayern, the 22-year-old enjoyed a successful spell at Granada, making 58 senior appearances and contributing 11 goals and three assists.

Zaragoza is not the only Bayern player on Barcelona’s radar; they have also been linked with Joshua Kimmich, whose contract expires in 2025, leading to speculation of a potential summer departure.

In other news, Barcelona is preparing to face Las Palmas in La Liga, with manager Xavi confirming that key players Ilkay Gundogan and Robert Lewandowski will not be rested for the upcoming fixture.

Despite their significant playing time, both players are considered fit and ready to contribute. Xavi praised Gundogan’s outstanding season, emphasizing his invaluable contributions both on and off the pitch.

The German midfielder has been instrumental for Barcelona this season, boasting impressive numbers and serving as a key figure for the team.

Similarly, Lewandowski’s impact has been significant, with his prolific goal-scoring record and vast experience strengthening Barcelona’s attack.

With the La Liga title race heating up, Barcelona cannot afford to relax, especially with a crucial UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash against Paris Saint-Germain on the horizon.

Therefore, Xavi is determined to field his strongest lineup against Las Palmas, with Gundogan and Lewandowski expected to play crucial roles in Barcelona’s quest for silverware this season.
