Erik Ten Hag voices frustration with a player, citing incompetence confirms player will be sold this summer.

Manchester United is poised to part ways with Brazilian player Antony, their second-most expensive acquisition at £86 million in 2022.

Despite a promising start with three goals in his first three Premier League games, Antony struggled for consistency in his debut season at Old Trafford.

While he showcased flashes of brilliance with notable assists and goals, his overall performance has been underwhelming this season, managing just two goals and two assists in 33 appearances.

Reports of controversy surfaced when Antony allegedly left training upon learning he wouldn’t start against Bournemouth, though the club refrained from commenting on the matter.

Rumors suggest that Manchester United is eyeing Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise as a potential replacement for Antony.

The club aims to offload the Brazilian to recoup part of their investment and reduce player salaries. Despite the absence of concrete offers, United remains hopeful of attracting suitors in the coming weeks.

Previously linked with clubs like Barcelona, Antony’s hefty price tag and wages may deter potential buyers, making it unlikely for United to recoup a significant portion of their investment.

With three years remaining on his contract and a weekly salary of around £200,000, negotiations for Antony’s departure may involve financial concessions from both parties.

While United fans may welcome INEOS’s proactive stance in offloading underperforming players, the decision comes with financial implications for the club.

Nonetheless, prioritizing the team’s objectives over individual shortcomings aligns with their long-term vision for success.
