Chelsea has denied allegations made by Portugal that Ruben Amorim traveled to London last week to meet with the Blues, not West Ham, regarding Mauricio Pochettino’s potential replacement.

The Sporting manager faced backlash after it was believed he was in the city to meet with West Ham, just days before his team was set to play Porto in the league.

While Amorim had been rumored to discuss taking over from David Moyes with West Ham’s management, Portuguese writer Pedro Sepulveda made a startling claim on Tuesday that Chelsea orchestrated the trip for Amorim to discuss replacing Pochettino.

However, Chelsea has swiftly dismissed the rumor, with reports indicating they did not cover Amorim’s travel expenses to London and did not meet with him during his visit.

Instead, they plan to make a decision abo myut Pochettino’s future and any potential managerial search at the end of the season.

With Chelsea currently in ninth place in the Premier League standings, their European qualification for the upcoming campaign is in question.

Pochettino’s future may be at risk if they fail to secure a European spot, with their run-in results and performances crucial in determining his fate.

Amorim has acknowledged his mistake in conducting negotiations with another team while Sporting was still competing for the championship.

He expressed regret for traveling to London 6 such circumstances, acknowledging that it was inappropriate timing and his responsibility as a manager.

While reflecting on his actions, Amorim emphasized the need to move forward and openly apologized to his players, staff, and Sporting fans.

He acknowledged the error in judgment and vowed to accept responsibility for his actions, recognizing the impact it may have had on theMjteam and the club.
