Manchester United’s current manager, Erik ten Hag, has faced considerable criticism this season due to the team’s underwhelming performance in the Premier League, despite past successes in the Carabao Cup and securing Champions League qualification.

With rumors swirling about potential managerial changes at Old Trafford, journalist Christian Falk hinted that Thomas Tuchel could be interested in taking over.

The recent involvement of INEOS at Manchester United suggests that significant changes may be on the horizon.

Falk, from BILD, mentioned that ten Hag could be an option for Bayern Munich, while also suggesting that Tuchel remains interested in the Manchester United job.

However, Tuchel’s focus is currently on his responsibilities at Chelsea, especially with the team competing in the Champions League.

Tuchel and Chelsea are set to part ways at the end of the season, following an announcement by Bayern Munich.

With Bayer Leverkusen performing strongly in the Bundesliga, Bayern’s decision-makers may feel compelled to make a change.

According to Jamie Jackson of The Guardian, Manchester United has an opportunity to secure a “serial trophy winner” like Tuchel, who will be available later this year.

Jackson highlighted Tuchel’s past success, including his Champions League victory over Pep Guardiola.

While ten Hag’s future at Manchester United remains uncertain, the club’s owners, Ratcliffe and INEOS, might be considering a managerial change.

United’s current sixth-place position in the Premier League standings makes Champions League qualification unlikely.

Journalist Georg Holzner reported that Manchester United has made contact with Tuchel regarding a potential managerial switch in the summer.

Tuchel, praised as “elite” by former United midfielder Paul Ince, may see a return to England as an opportunity to fulfill unfinished business following his successful tenure at Chelsea, where he led the team to Champions League glory.

Despite the challenges ahead, Tuchel appears open to the idea of leading Manchester United.
