Two star players from Manchester City have informed the club’s management that they will be leaving this summer after winning the treble with the club two seasons ago.

According to former Manchester City player Nedum Onuoha, two of the club’s current stars may be leaving soon. In recent transfer windows, several players have departed Manchester City to pursue new opportunities, and Onuoha has shared his insights on potential movements in the upcoming summer window.

In a recent video on the ESPN FC YouTube channel, Onuoha discussed the likelihood of these departures and named the two players he believes could be on their way out.

Onuoha specifically mentioned Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish as the players who might be leaving Manchester City. He stated, “Every summer there is one with Bernardo Silva.” Silva has consistently been linked with a move to Barcelona, and this year the rumors seem to be more substantial.

Onuoha also mentioned that he has heard speculation about Jack Grealish potentially moving to another club, adding that he wouldn’t be surprised if either or both players left this summer.

This ongoing speculation about Silva’s future is not new. The Portuguese midfielder has been connected with transfers to both Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain in the past.

Despite signing a new contract last summer that extends his stay at City until 2026, Silva’s current deal includes a £50 million release clause. This clause could enable another team to secure his services, thereby ending his time at City prematurely.

Grealish, who has also been mentioned by Onuoha, has recently been linked with a move to Bayern Munich. Despite these rumors, it is worth noting that Grealish has only started 10 of the 20 Premier League matches he has played this season.

Onuoha believes that the club may be considering letting one of these two influential players go, which he describes as a potential loss for the team.

Onuoha expressed concern over the potential impact of losing Silva and Grealish, emphasizing the need for Manchester City to retain their key players. Given that City already has the smallest squad in the Premier League, losing two important players without adequate replacements could significantly weaken the team.

He pointed out that the club is likely to undergo many changes in the next 12 to 18 months, making it crucial to manage player departures carefully.

As the summer transfer window approaches, Onuoha suggests that Manchester City must strive to keep Grealish while still looking to enhance the squad in other areas.

If Silva’s release clause is activated, it will be imperative for City to find suitable replacements to maintain their competitive edge. The loss of either Silva or Grealish would be a significant blow, and ensuring the team remains strong will require strategic planning and effective management of transfers.

The potential departures of Silva and Grealish highlight the broader challenges Manchester City faces in maintaining a balanced and competitive squad.

Silva’s possible move to Barcelona or PSG and Grealish’s links to Bayern Munich reflect the high demand for City’s talented players. As the club navigates these transfer dynamics, retaining key players and reinforcing the squad will be crucial tosustaining their success.
