Chelsea is preparing to sell two of their star players in order to finance the purchase of a Championship player who scored more goals than Cole Palmer last season.

Crysencio Summerville, currently playing for Leeds United, has garnered significant interest from Premier League giants Liverpool and Chelsea, while West Ham, Bournemouth, and Fulham are also keen on acquiring the winger. Summerville, at 22 years old, had an impressive season in the Championship, scoring 20 goals in 46 appearances.

Leeds United narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier League after a defeat to Southampton in the Play-Off final. This outcome has placed the club in a precarious financial situation, likely forcing them to sell some of their most valuable assets.

Despite this, the club will not struggle to find suitors for Summerville during the upcoming transfer window. In fact, they are hopeful that the competition for his signature will drive up his transfer fee, given the high level of interest.

According to The Sun, Summerville is valued between £35 million and £40 million. However, with multiple Premier League clubs vying for his services, the final price could surpass this initial estimate. This substantial valuation is a testament to his remarkable performances and potential value to top-tier teams.

Summerville’s potential transfer is particularly noteworthy considering the modest fee Leeds paid for him when they acquired him from Feyenoord in 2020 for just £1.3 million.

Regardless of the final transfer fee this summer, Leeds stands to make a significant profit, underscoring the winger’s development and success since joining the club.

Despite the disappointment at Wembley, Leeds manager Daniel Farke is expected to remain with the club and lead their efforts to secure promotion in the next season. Losing Summerville will be a significant blow to Leeds’ aspirations, as his contributions have been pivotal to the team.

His departure will leave a void that will be challenging to fill, especially as the club aims to build a squad capable of achieving promotion to the Premier League.

For the interested Premier League clubs, securing Summerville’s signature represents an opportunity to add a dynamic and prolific winger to their rosters. Liverpool and Chelsea, in particular, would benefit from his attacking prowess and versatility, enhancing their offensive options.

Meanwhile, West Ham, Bournemouth, and Fulham are looking to bolster their squads with a player of Summerville’s caliber to compete more effectively in the league.

As the transfer window approaches, the battle for Summerville’s services is likely to intensify. Leeds United, despite their financial challenges, will hope to maximize the return on their investment.

The club’s supporters will keenly follow the developments, knowing that the funds generated from his sale could be crucial for their campaign to return to the Premier League.
