another big injury setback for the Reds as player set to be out till next year.

Liverpool are gearing up to face their arch-rivals Manchester United in their next Premier League fixture.

The Reds have started the season on a high note, winning their first two matches without conceding any goals.

New manager Arne Slot has made an immediate impact, with Liverpool looking much stronger than they did last season. While it’s still early in the season, the initial signs under the Dutch manager are encouraging.

Liverpool will head to Old Trafford for this crucial match, but they may have to cope without midfielder Curtis Jones, who is racing against time to recover from a minor muscle injury sustained in training.

Jones was absent from the recent game against Brentford, and Slot has admitted that it will be a close call for him to be fit in time for the United clash. However, Slot remains optimistic, stating that the injury is not serious and that Jones will make every effort to be ready.

If Jones is unable to play, it would be a notable loss for Liverpool, but Slot has other options. The midfield has been impressive this season, with Ryan Gravenberch emerging as a key player.

Slot initially considered Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi as a potential addition for the number 6 role, but the club’s inability to secure the signing has allowed Gravenberch to cement his place in the starting lineup.

The upcoming match at Old Trafford is expected to be a tightly contested affair, with Manchester United eager to recover from their recent defeat to Brighton.
