Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has shared deeply unfortunate news about Vinícius Júnior after he was taken off during the La Liga match against Las Palmas.

Alberto Moliero gave the home side an unexpected lead just five minutes into the game, finishing off a smooth pass from Oli McBurnie with a sweeping strike. This early goal set the tone for what would become a tense and hard-fought match.

The visitors had their best opportunity to respond midway through the first half when Fede Valverde’s powerful free-kick was well saved by Jasper Cillessen, who proved to be a key figure in keeping the home side ahead.

Cillessen was called into action once more shortly before halftime, this time blocking a driven effort from Antonio Rüdiger as Real Madrid increased their pressure in search of an equalizer.

In the second half, both Vinícius Jr. and Rodrygo attempted to challenge Cillessen early on, but they were unable to find a way past the Amarillos’ goalkeeper, who remained resolute between the posts.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s aggressive push for a goal left them vulnerable at the back, and they were nearly punished on a counterattack. Sandro Ramírez rounded Real Madrid’s goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois but failed to keep his composure, sending his shot over the crossbar when he seemed poised to double the hosts’ lead.

Despite this scare, Real Madrid continued to press forward, and their persistence paid off when they were handed a lifeline. Álex Suárez handled the ball in the penalty area after a touch by substitute Arda Güler, prompting the referee to award a penalty. Vinícius Jr. stepped up to the spot and calmly converted, drawing the visitors level and shifting the momentum in their favor.

As the game entered its final stages, Las Palmas appeared to have secured a dramatic late winner. Jaime Mata unleashed a powerful shot that flew past Courtois and into the net, sending the home fans into a frenzy.

However, their celebrations were cut short when the goal was immediately disallowed for offside, leaving both teams frustrated and the score still tied.

In the end, the reigning champions managed to avoid defeat but were unable to secure the win they desperately needed. The draw moved them up to fourth place, just ahead of city rivals Atlético de Madrid.

However, Real Madrid still trails league leaders Barcelona by four points, having secured only one win in their opening three matches. The result reflects their mixed start to the season under Carlo Ancelotti, with much work still needed if they hope to defend their title against increasingly formidable competition.
