Former Real Madrid Manager Zidane has told Manchester City board to Sack the Coach.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is facing mounting pressure after his team’s third consecutive loss, sparking concerns of a potential “mini-crisis” at the club.

Although City began the season with high hopes, recent performances have failed to meet the expectations of both fans and critics alike. Many observers have noted a decline in City’s overall form, and some argue that this slump has been coming for weeks.

In their latest setback, City’s early promise in Lisbon quickly unraveled in a frustrating clash against Sporting CP. They managed a strong start, with Phil Foden giving them the lead early on. However, City’s inability to capitalize on several key opportunities soon became apparent, as they squandered chance after chance to build on their lead.

This lack of efficiency up front proved costly, as Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres equalized, sending the teams into halftime on level terms.

As the second half unfolded, City’s defensive structure completely collapsed. The back line seemed unable to contain Sporting’s offensive pressure, and they quickly found themselves struggling to keep the scoreline in check. Just minutes after the restart, Max Araujo put Sporting in the lead at 2-1.

Matters only got worse for City when Josko Gvardiol, under heavy scrutiny for his defensive struggles, committed a reckless foul in the box, resulting in a penalty. Gyokeres stepped up to convert, giving Sporting a commanding lead at 3-1 and putting City in an even deeper hole.

The game continued to spiral out of control for City, as their attempts to fight back met with little success. Late in the match, City’s frustrations were compounded when Matheus Nunes failed to convert a penalty opportunity, denying them a much-needed goal to mount a potential comeback. Shortly after, Gyokeres completed his hat-trick, sealing City’s fate in a disappointing 4-1 loss.

Following this disheartening defeat, Manchester City’s struggles are becoming an increasingly pressing concern. The loss to Sporting has only amplified the questions surrounding the team’s form, particularly as Guardiola attempts to find answers in the midst of this difficult stretch.

Some fans and analysts have pointed to a lack of cohesion and defensive discipline as key factors in City’s recent woes, while others suggest that individual mistakes are compounding under pressure.

City’s players and coaching staff are undoubtedly aware of the scrutiny they’re facing, and it didn’t take long for members of the squad to respond. Bernardo Silva, reflecting on the team’s recent dip in form, addressed the setback, suggesting that the team is fully committed to turning things around.

The challenges are evident, but with key players and a tactically astute manager at the helm, City remains hopeful that they can reverse this downward trend and re-establish their position as one of Europe’s elite teams. However, as they struggle to regain momentum, the stakes only grow higher for Guardiola and his squad in the games to come.
