Huge News as Sky Sports reporter has confirmed Liverpool star has rejected a move to Real Madrid.

    adminBy adminDecember 22, 2024No Comments2 Mins Read

Reports of a potential swap deal between Liverpool and Real Madrid involving Ryan Gravenberch and Aurélien Tchouaméni have been firmly dismissed by a trusted transfer journalist.

Earlier rumors from Spain suggested that Real Madrid was interested in an exchange deal, but this speculation has now been categorically ruled out.

Florian Plettenberg, a well-known Sky Sports journalist, took to X (formerly Twitter) to clarify the situation, stating that Gravenberch has no plans to leave Liverpool and that the club has no intention of pursuing a swap deal with Real Madrid.

According to Plettenberg, the 22-year-old Dutch midfielder is a crucial player for Liverpool and remains an integral part of the team’s long-term plans.

In his statement, Plettenberg wrote, “Ryan Gravenberch is currently not considering leaving Liverpool. The 22-year-old is a key performer and a leading player for the team.

There are no plans or discussions regarding a transfer in winter or summer. Been told that LFC also have no intention of pursuing a swap deal involving Aurélien Tchouaméni at this stage.”

The suggestion of Liverpool letting go of Gravenberch was always considered highly unlikely. Since his arrival, Gravenberch has established himself as one of Liverpool’s standout performers this season. He has excelled in several key areas, even outperforming Tchouaméni in various metrics.

According to data from FBref, Gravenberch has surpassed Tchouaméni in statistics such as shots on target percentage (28.6% vs. 14.3%), tackles and interceptions (59 vs. 48), successful take-ons (30 vs. 7), and progressive carries (31 vs. 10). Additionally, Gravenberch boasts an aerial duel success rate of 88.2%, significantly higher than Tchouaméni’s 70%.

The Dutch midfielder has thrived under Liverpool’s system, demonstrating his ability to adapt quickly and make a significant impact.

On the other hand, Tchouaméni, while a talented player, would face challenges adjusting to Liverpool’s style of play and replicating Gravenberch’s contributions. Given Gravenberch’s past struggles at Bayern Munich, it is unlikely he would consider leaving a club where he is now flourishing.

This update puts an end to speculation about a potential swap deal. Liverpool’s management appears committed to retaining Gravenberch as a key part of their squad, emphasizing his importance to the team’s future.

The idea of parting with such a high-performing player for a risky trade was always implausible, and Plettenberg’s statements confirm that Gravenberch is staying at Anfield for the foreseeable future.
