PSG have now bid £75m for Marcus Rashford, aiming to finalize the deal before the transfer window opens.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is reportedly showing hesitation in meeting Manchester United’s £50 million valuation for forward Marcus Rashford, despite their ongoing interest in the England international.

According to CaughtOffside, while PSG remains keen on signing Rashford, the club is reluctant to pay such a high fee for the player, who has experienced a decline in form over the past few seasons.

Once considered one of the top forwards in world football, Rashford’s career has hit a rough patch, marked by inconsistent performances and off-field controversies. Under the management of Ruben Amorim, his role at Manchester United has diminished significantly, raising questions about his long-term future at Old Trafford.

Rashford’s situation worsened when he was excluded from the starting lineup in the high-profile Manchester derby, a decision that fueled speculation about his desire to leave.

Although Amorim has publicly emphasized Rashford’s importance to the team, actions have spoken louder than words. The 27-year-old was left out of the squad entirely during Manchester United’s Carabao Cup clash against Tottenham, deepening his frustration and adding fuel to the transfer rumors.

Sources suggest that both Amorim and Manchester United’s new part-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, are open to selling Rashford, provided their £50 million valuation is met. For PSG, a club that has admired Rashford for years, the prospect of signing the forward remains appealing.

The Ligue 1 champions are eager to strengthen their attack under manager Luis Enrique, and Rashford’s talent and potential make him a priority target. However, concerns about his recent struggles and inconsistent form have made PSG cautious about investing heavily in the player.

The French giants are reportedly exploring alternative options, unwilling to commit to a significant financial outlay for a player who has not been performing at his peak. Rashford’s apparent desire for a fresh start and PSG’s interest in securing his services could create an opportunity for negotiations, but Manchester United may need to lower their demands to finalize a deal.

For Rashford, a move to PSG could represent a much-needed reset in his career. For Manchester United, selling him at a reasonable price might be a way to reinvest in the squad.

However, until an agreement is reached, Rashford’s future remains uncertain, with both clubs carefully weighing the risks and rewards of any potential transfer.
