Officially, Barcelona star Dani Olmo Has Stated That He Will Be Joining Manchester City this January on only one Condition.

Manchester United and Manchester City can now set aside their interest in Barcelona’s Dani Olmo, as the Spanish playmaker’s registration issues with the Catalan club have been successfully resolved.

This development follows speculation fueled by Olmo’s agent, Andy Bara, being seen in Manchester, leading to rumors of a potential move to the Premier League. However, Bara clarified that his visit was purely coincidental, claiming he was in the city for a holiday. Bara’s agency, Niagara Sports, represents several notable Spanish players, including Alvaro Morata and former Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo.

The resolution of Olmo’s registration concerns marks a significant relief for Barcelona, a club that has faced ongoing financial challenges.

The situation had put Barcelona in a precarious position, as failure to register Olmo could have allowed the player to activate a clause in his contract to terminate his deal and leave as a free agent. Such a move would have meant that Barcelona would lose the talented midfielder without receiving any transfer fee in return, a prospect that could have been disastrous for the club’s financial and competitive ambitions.

Amid this uncertainty, there were widespread rumors suggesting a possible loan transfer to the Premier League. Manchester United, in particular, was reported to be keen on bringing Olmo in on a temporary basis. However, these rumors have now been dismissed following the club’s successful efforts to secure Olmo’s registration.

Barcelona has officially confirmed that both Dani Olmo and his teammate Pau Victor are now eligible for selection, having been registered for La Liga.

The announcement also clarified that the two players would be available to participate in Sunday’s Spanish Super Cup Final. In a statement, the club said: “Dani Olmo and Pau Victor have been registered for La Liga and are therefore available for selection by coach Hansi Flick, including for Sunday’s Spanish Super Cup Final.”

This update brings much-needed relief to Barcelona, who are eager to integrate Olmo into their squad without further distractions. The talented playmaker is expected to play a key role in the team’s upcoming fixtures, starting with the Spanish Super Cup Final.

By resolving the registration issues, Barcelona has not only retained a key player but also avoided a potential transfer saga that could have benefited rival clubs. This outcome is a significant boost for the Catalan giants as they continue their push for domestic and European success.
