Reports reveal that Arsenal has prepared a massive €40M bid to land a rising Serie A star at the Emirates

Arsenal is actively searching for a new striker to strengthen their squad and boost Mikel Arteta’s chances of challenging for the Premier League title this season.

The Gunners have faced difficulties in front of goal, largely due to Kai Havertz’s inconsistent form and the long-term injury to Gabriel Jesus, who is set to miss the rest of the season. These issues have highlighted the need for reinforcements in the attacking department.

Over the past year, Arsenal has been linked with several high-profile forwards, including Benjamin Sesko, Viktor Gyokeres, and Dusan Vlahovic. However, recent updates from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, writing for GiveMeSport, have cast doubt on the possibility of Arsenal signing Sesko in the January transfer window.

Elvis Basanovic, the agent of the RB Leipzig striker, has strongly refuted reports suggesting Sesko could join Arsenal on loan. In an interview, Basanovic made it clear that there has been no communication with Arsenal regarding such a move. He stated:

“I don’t know where this story has come from, but I have never talked with Arsenal about a loan move for Sesko. Sesko is not a player for loans, and this was never a topic with Arsenal or any other club. If you ask me if Sesko will move in January, I can only say Sesko is a RB Leipzig player and fully focused on that.”

Basanovic also addressed rumors about interest from other clubs, including Arsenal’s Premier League rivals Chelsea, suggesting that inquiries about Sesko’s availability should be directed to RB Leipzig.

As it stands, reports linking Sesko to Arsenal have been firmly denied, and the prospect of him joining the Gunners in January has been ruled out. RB Leipzig has made it clear that the striker is not for sale during the current transfer window.

With the Bundesliga side facing their own challenges this season, including injuries, they are unwilling to part with one of their key players.

While Arsenal would undoubtedly benefit from having a player of Sesko’s caliber in their ranks, any potential move for the striker would have to wait until the summer. The recent denials from Sesko’s agent and Leipzig will undoubtedly disappoint Arsenal fans hoping for reinforcements this winter.

In the meantime, the Gunners will need to explore alternative options in the transfer market. One name that has surfaced as a potential target is Brentford’s Yoane Wissa, as Arsenal looks to secure an attacking solution before the January transfer window closes.
