Arsenal are making significant moves ahead of the summer transfer window, with reports indicating that they have set their sights on Premier League wingers Antoine Semenyo and Bryan Mbeumo.
The North London club is preparing for what could be one of the most pivotal transfer windows under Mikel Arteta as they look to strengthen multiple positions in their squad.
After coming agonizingly close to winning the Premier League title, Arsenal are determined to go all out in the transfer market to build a team capable of finally lifting the trophy. With incoming sporting director Andrea Berta set to take charge of his first window at the club, Arsenal are expected to be highly active in reinforcing their squad.
According to TeamTalk, the Gunners are planning to strengthen key areas, including attack, midfield, and defense. Their main priorities include signing a new striker, a midfielder, a left-back, and possibly two wingers to add more depth and quality to the team.
For the striker position, RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Šeško is reportedly Arsenal’s main target, though Newcastle’s Alexander Isak remains Mikel Arteta’s preferred choice if a deal can be struck. In midfield, the club has identified Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi as their top option to strengthen the center of the park.
Meanwhile, for the wing positions, Athletic Club’s Nico Williams has been highlighted as a key target, but with uncertainty over whether he will leave Spain this summer, Arsenal are exploring alternatives—leading to their growing interest in Semenyo and Mbeumo.
Both players have long been on Arsenal’s radar. Semenyo has been impressive for Bournemouth, showcasing his pace, power, and goal-scoring ability, while Mbeumo has continued to be a key player for Brentford.
Arsenal’s interest in Mbeumo is not new, as they reportedly made an attempt to sign him last summer and revisited the possibility of a move in January.
However, Brentford have placed a €60 million price tag on the winger, making negotiations potentially challenging. Although the Bees are open to selling him, they will only sanction a move if their valuation is met.
With Arsenal looking to make a major statement in the transfer market, Semenyo and Mbeumo are now seen as viable options to boost their attacking depth.
As the summer window approaches, the Gunners are expected to push forward with their plans to strengthen the squad in hopes of mounting another serious title challenge next season.
