Florentino Perez is reportedly ready to break the bank for Man City’s Norwegian striker as uncertainty grows over Vini Jr’s future

Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez is reportedly planning a massive restructuring of the club, with Manchester City striker Erling Haaland at the heart of his ambitious vision.

According to sources close to the club, Pérez is fixated on bringing the Norwegian forward to the Santiago Bernabéu as the central figure in a new-look squad built for dominance in Europe.

To secure Haaland’s signature—a deal expected to cost more than €150 million—Pérez is prepared to take bold and unprecedented steps. One of those is putting nearly the entire Real Madrid squad on the transfer list.

Key players such as Rodrygo Goes, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Antonio Rüdiger, David Alaba, Brahim Díaz, and even star forward Vinícius Júnior could be sold if suitable offers come in.

The idea behind this is to raise significant funds and create room in the club’s wage structure to accommodate Haaland’s likely massive salary, which could be among the highest in football history.

This aggressive strategy reflects Pérez’s well-known determination to keep Real Madrid at the pinnacle of world football.

He believes that Haaland could be the long-term solution to leading the team’s attack, offering both power and consistency in front of goal. In addition to being a prolific goal-scorer, Haaland’s marketability and global appeal make him an ideal fit for a club of Real Madrid’s stature.

Pérez’s long-term plan involves more than just Haaland. Young stars like Jude Bellingham and Brazilian wonderkid Endrick are also expected to play crucial roles in the club’s future.

By combining youth with world-class talent, Pérez aims to form a dynamic, high-scoring team capable of challenging for major titles over the next decade.

This planned overhaul would also shift the identity of the team. Traditionally known for its balance and tactical discipline, the new Real Madrid could be a more attacking, aggressive side centered around Haaland’s finishing and Bellingham’s creativity.

The potential exit of Vinícius Júnior—possibly to Saudi Arabia—could accelerate these changes and further justify the pursuit of the Manchester City striker.

Ultimately, Florentino Pérez is betting big on this project. He is willing to sacrifice familiar names and take financial risks to ensure Real Madrid remains a dominant force in both La Liga and the Champions League. The Haaland transfer isn’t just about one player—it represents the beginning of a new era at the club.
