Eduardo Camavinga agrees personal terms with Manchester City as Etihad goes wild with celebration

Manchester City is reportedly preparing a major move for Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga in the upcoming summer transfer window, according to an exclusive report from Real Madrid Confidential.

The Premier League champions, currently enduring a frustrating season that could see them miss out on Champions League football, are eager to reshape their squad with key reinforcements — and Camavinga has emerged as a top target.

The 22-year-old French international has caught the eye of City manager Pep Guardiola, particularly following his impressive performance against Manchester City in their Champions League clash earlier this season.

Guardiola, who values tactical intelligence and versatility in his midfield, is said to be a huge admirer of Camavinga’s style of play and has identified him as a crucial addition to bolster City’s midfield options.

A key factor that might ease this potential transfer is Manchester City’s strong professional ties with CAA Stellar, the agency that represents Camavinga.

This relationship could help smooth out negotiations between both parties if discussions move forward. Despite Camavinga’s success and growing importance at Real Madrid — where he has already won two La Liga titles and two UEFA Champions League trophies — there is growing speculation that the Spanish giants might reconsider their stance if City submits an offer deemed too good to reject.

So far, Real Madrid has maintained that they are not looking to sell Camavinga, given his role in the team’s current and future plans. However, the final decision would depend not just on the Spanish club’s willingness, but also on the player’s own openness to making a move.

Interestingly, Camavinga himself recently made a remark suggesting admiration for Pep Guardiola, saying, “If Pep Guardiola calls, you answer,” hinting that he might be receptive to a move to Manchester.

City’s pursuit of Camavinga is part of a broader strategy to rebuild and reinforce their squad ahead of the next season.

The club is also closely monitoring other potential signings, including Nottingham Forest’s right-back Ola Aina — a player who has also attracted interest from Liverpool.

Additionally, City scouts are keeping a watchful eye on young prospects like 15-year-old Ecuadorian winger Justin Cuero Martinez, currently with Independiente del Valle’s youth academy. Martinez has drawn comparisons to PSG’s Ousmane Dembélé and has already sparked interest from Spanish giants like Barcelona and Real Madrid.
