Arsenal injury update on Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Jesus as latest news and return dates are confirmed

Arsenal are heading into their 2025-26 Premier League opener against Manchester United with a near clean bill of health, as Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Jesus remain the only current injury concerns.

The Gunners will travel to Old Trafford full of confidence after a 3-0 win over Athletic Club last weekend, a result that secured the Emirates Cup in their final pre-season outing. New summer signing Viktor Gyokeres got off the mark with the opening goal, while Riccardo Calafiori and Kai Havertz both made their returns from injury to prove their fitness.

For Mikel Arteta, the injury situation is largely positive as he looks to start the campaign strongly. Trossard, however, was absent from the squad against Athletic Club, having not featured since picking up a groin injury in a pre-season defeat to Tottenham last month. He had been one of three doubts ahead of the friendly, but while Havertz and Calafiori were passed fit, the Belgian forward was not yet ready to return.
