Real Madrid Star Rodrygo Snubs Arsenal Chooses rivals after shocking Premier League club Joins Race to sign Him

Arsenal are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Brazilian forward Rodrygo from Real Madrid in the current transfer window.

The 23-year-old could be available for a move as the Spanish giants boast an abundance of world-class attacking talent, and his recent form has not consistently lived up to expectations. While Rodrygo remains determined to fight for his place under new Madrid boss Xabi Alonso, he is understood to be open to leaving if the right offer comes along.

A switch to the Premier League appears to be the most likely outcome should Rodrygo depart the Santiago Bernabéu, with Arsenal being one of the clubs keeping a close eye on his situation. The Gunners are said to be weighing up whether to launch an official bid for the Madrid star or instead focus on securing the services of Crystal Palace attacker Eberechi Eze before the window shuts.

However, Arsenal face a potential transfer dilemma. Eze is attracting strong interest from their London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, meaning Arsenal could risk missing out on him entirely if Spurs move decisively. In such a scenario, a push for Rodrygo could become the more practical choice.

His versatility in the final third, creativity, and proven attacking instincts would offer Mikel Arteta’s side a significant boost in firepower as they aim to build a squad capable of challenging for major honours next season.

Despite this, Arsenal’s pursuit of Rodrygo has been complicated by fresh claims from ESPN that the Brazilian has already identified his preferred Premier League destination — and it is not the Emirates. According to the report, Rodrygo would choose Liverpool over Arsenal if he were to move to England.

This revelation puts the Gunners in a difficult position, as they would need to convince the player to join their project despite his apparent desire to play at Anfield.

Rodrygo’s ability, experience at the highest level, and knack for performing in big matches make him a highly attractive prospect for any top European side. However, with the player’s heart seemingly leaning toward Liverpool, Arsenal will have to carefully assess whether pursuing him would be a wise use of their transfer budget.

In the meantime, the North London club must also decide whether to prioritise Rodrygo or make a stronger push for Eze, ensuring they secure at least one key attacking reinforcement before the transfer deadline.

While speculation over Rodrygo’s future continues, Arsenal’s focus will likely remain on making strategic moves that fit both their immediate ambitions and long-term squad-building plans, ensuring they enter the new season in the strongest possible position.
