Another player who previously had issues with Ruben Amorim before leaving last summer has now been officially told to return to Old Trafford by January.

Jadon Sancho is reportedly on the brink of a long-awaited return to Manchester United’s first team by January — a development that could mark a powerful new chapter in one of the club’s most emotional sagas this season.

Sources close to Old Trafford suggest that the 24-year-old winger has finally reconciled with manager Rúben Amorim, putting months of tension and separation behind him after a turbulent departure last summer.

According to reports, Sancho recently reached out to one of his former United teammates to express remorse over how things ended between him and the team.

The unnamed player revealed, “He called me early this week and apologized for everything. He said he just wants to move forward. I told him it’s all in the past  he’ll be back by January.”

That conversation, described as deeply emotional, has reportedly cleared the air and opened the door for Sancho’s reintegration into the squad, reflecting his desire for a fresh start and personal growth.

Sancho’s relationship with Amorim had been strained from the very beginning. During pre-season, the two reportedly clashed over issues of discipline and attitude, leading to the English winger’s exclusion from the main group.

Sancho felt unfairly singled out and refused to issue the apology Amorim demanded a defiant stance that ultimately cost him his place at the club.

The fallout divided both the dressing room and the fanbase, with some defending Sancho’s frustration while others supported the manager’s strict approach.

However, time away from Old Trafford seems to have given Sancho a new perspective. Those close to him say he has matured significantly and is now more focused, disciplined, and determined than ever.

His goal, they claim, is to earn back the respect of his manager, teammates, and fans by showing that he has learned from his mistakes and is ready to contribute positively again.

Interestingly, Amorim’s attitude toward Sancho has reportedly changed as well. After holding private discussions with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and sporting director Dan Ashworth, the Portuguese manager is said to have agreed to give Sancho another chance.

Sources reveal that Amorim was impressed by feedback regarding Sancho’s improved behavior and commitment. “Everyone made errors but now it’s about progress, not the past,” Amorim reportedly said to close associates.

The club’s leadership has also thrown its weight behind Sancho’s potential return, especially as Manchester United continue to struggle with creativity and attacking consistency.

With players like Rashford and Mbeumo underperforming, bringing Sancho back could add much-needed spark and versatility to Amorim’s tactical setup heading into a congested fixture schedule.

Among supporters, the news has sparked a wave of emotion. Many fans have expressed joy and hope on social media, calling Sancho’s return the “best news of the season” and emphasizing that “everyone deserves a second chance.”

Still, some remain cautious, insisting that Sancho must now prove his commitment through hard work rather than words.

At Carrington, the atmosphere is said to be encouraging. Senior players have reportedly reached out to Sancho, assuring him that he will be welcomed back without prejudice.

He is expected to begin individual training in December to rebuild his fitness before rejoining the main squad in January.

For Jadon Sancho, this return may well represent his last opportunity to revive his Manchester United career. His talent has never been in question  but now, it is his professionalism, humility, and resilience that will define his future.

If he can channel his renewed motivation into performance, Sancho’s comeback could stand as one of football’s most inspiring redemption stories.

Likewise, Rúben Amorim has the chance to demonstrate true leadership by turning a once-broken relationship into a powerful example of growth, forgiveness, and unity at Old Trafford.
