BREAKING NEWS: POGBA SETS ONE CONDITION FOR UNITED RETURN!

    ABBy ABFebruary 16, 2026No Comments3 Mins Read

Since his turbulent departure from Manchester United, the career trajectory of Paul Pogba has continued to face significant setbacks.

What was already a disappointing end to his second spell at Old Trafford was followed by further struggles in Italy, where injuries and a doping violation overshadowed his return to Juventus. His time in Turin failed to deliver the revival many had anticipated.

Although Pogba’s suspension has since been reduced — clearing the way for him to resume professional football in March 2025 — his chapter with Juventus appears closed.

The midfielder recently confirmed via Instagram that he would be leaving the Serie A giants, effectively making him a free agent.

With his contract situation resolved, speculation has intensified regarding his next destination, including the possibility of a return to the Premier League.

Despite the rumors, a third stint at Manchester United seems highly improbable. In an interview with Sky Sports, Pogba dismissed the notion of returning to Old Trafford.

He emphasized that his focus is on maintaining — and ideally surpassing — his current competitive level. According to Pogba, his mindset has evolved.

While he insists he remains fundamentally the same player, he now feels a stronger hunger and renewed determination.

Time away from football, he explained, made him appreciate the sport more deeply and recognize its importance in his life.

However, he made it clear that he has no interest in rejoining United simply to regain match fitness, contrary to circulating rumors.

Elsewhere, reports have linked Pogba with potential moves to West Ham United and Newcastle United. According to Spanish media cited by Football365, both clubs are monitoring his situation closely.

Given ongoing Financial Fair Play considerations across the league, the opportunity to sign an experienced midfielder on a free transfer could prove attractive.

There were also revelations about past interest from Manchester City. Pogba disclosed that before rejoining Juventus, he had been offered the chance to remain in Manchester under the management of Pep Guardiola.

Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, he explained that he ultimately declined the proposal, choosing instead to return to Italy.

While lucrative offers from leagues in the United States or Saudi Arabia may be available, financial gain is reportedly not his primary motivation.

Pogba is believed to be aiming for a return to one of Europe’s elite competitions to enhance his prospects of rejoining the France national football team. At 31, he acknowledges that reclaiming his place will be challenging.

In his words to Sky Sports, he remains hopeful but realistic — fully aware that competition for selection is fierce. Nevertheless, he insists he is ready to fight for another opportunity at the highest level.
