Chelsea’s future star, Estevao Willian, has opened up about his ambitious goals, which include representing Brazil in the 2026 World Cup and achieving significant milestones in his football career.

The 17-year-old forward, currently with Palmeiras, was signed by Chelsea this past summer in a deal that could rise to £51 million. However, Estevao will only join his new teammates at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2024.

There is growing anticipation for Estevao’s arrival at Chelsea, as the club has high hopes for his development and potential. Reports suggest that Chelsea’s plan is to integrate him into the first-team squad immediately, giving him opportunities to compete for playing time rather than sending him out on loan or easing him into the Premier League environment.

This move reflects the club’s belief in his abilities and the expectation that he will be able to contribute right away.

In a recent interview, Estevao shared insights into his aspirations, which underline his confidence and determination to reach the highest levels in football.

The young Brazilian spoke about his belief in his own potential and his commitment to realizing it, emphasizing that he is working step by step to achieve his goals.

“I know my potential, I know that I can do even more, and we are slowly looking for it,” Estevao told reporters, as cited on X.com. “I think I have the potential to be my best self. And the best thing for me, God willing, is to be at the World Cup and be the best in the world. I think that depends a lot on me.”

Estevao’s confidence and ambition are clear, as he aims not only to represent Brazil on the world stage but also to be recognized as one of the best players in the world. These lofty goals are sure to motivate him as he embarks on the next chapter of his career with Chelsea.

Estevao won’t be the only South American prospect making the move to Stamford Bridge next summer. Ecuadorian midfielder Kendry Paez, another highly rated talent, is set to join Chelsea in 2025.

Like Estevao, Paez’s arrival is part of Chelsea’s broader strategy of investing in young talent from South America, which the club hopes will pay off in the coming years as these players develop into key contributors at the highest level.
