Manchester City are planning to get rid of two of their greatest ever players, but replacing them with one insane superstar

Manchester City is reportedly preparing to part ways with two of its most influential players, Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne, during the upcoming summer transfer window.

De Bruyne, who is now 34 years old, will see his contract expire at the end of the season. While he was previously linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League last year, he ultimately chose to fulfill the final year of his deal with City instead of making an early exit.

This season has been somewhat inconsistent for the Belgian playmaker, as he has not been a regular presence in Pep Guardiola’s starting lineup.

Despite this, De Bruyne has still made valuable contributions whenever he has been on the pitch, scoring eight goals across 19 appearances in the Premier League. His influence on the team remains undeniable, but with his contract set to expire, it appears City is prepared to move on without him.

Bernardo Silva, in contrast, has been a mainstay in Guardiola’s squad, regularly featuring in City’s starting eleven. However, despite his consistent presence, the Portuguese midfielder has received criticism from certain sections of the fanbase, with some questioning his overall impact on the team’s performance.

Reports suggest that Guardiola is open to the idea of Silva leaving alongside De Bruyne, marking a potential turning point for City’s midfield structure.

Rather than extending De Bruyne’s contract or trying to keep Silva at the club, City has reportedly begun planning for life without them. The club is already scouting potential reinforcements, with Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga emerging as a top target.

The young French midfielder is considered a strong candidate to bolster City’s midfield for the next season. However, Camavinga’s decision to leave Madrid may depend on the managerial situation at the Spanish club. It is believed that he would prefer to remain with Los Blancos if Carlo Ancelotti continues as head coach beyond the current season.

Manchester City’s pursuit of Camavinga is further supported by their close relationship with CAA Stellar, the agency representing the French midfielder.

This same agency was instrumental in securing Omar Marmoush’s move to City during the January transfer window, which could play a role in negotiations.

If City succeeds in acquiring Camavinga, it would signal a major shift in their midfield setup. As the club looks to freshen up its squad ahead of the new season, replacing experienced stars like De Bruyne and Silva with younger talents could mark the beginning of a new era under Guardiola’s leadership.
