Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has heaped praise on new signing Omar Marmoush, claiming the Egyptian striker is currently outperforming some of the Bundesliga’s top stars, including Harry Kane, Jamal Musiala, and Florian Wirtz.

This recognition comes after Marmoush’s standout performances since arriving at City during the January transfer window.

Marmoush has made a smooth transition into Guardiola’s side, showcasing his skills, adaptability, and attacking flair.

According to Guardiola, the club had been tracking Marmoush’s development in Germany for some time, especially following his stellar stint with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Before joining City, the 25-year-old enjoyed a phenomenal run in the Bundesliga, scoring 15 goals and providing 9 assists in just 18 appearances—a record that caught the attention of top European clubs.

Since his move to the Premier League, Marmoush has continued to shine, already netting 6 goals in 11 appearances for Manchester City.

Guardiola praised not just the numbers but the overall impact Marmoush has made on the team’s style of play and chemistry. The Spanish coach described him as a “fantastic player” and said his contribution to the squad has been “really, really good.”

Such strong words from Guardiola carry weight, especially considering the high level of competition in the Bundesliga and the quality of players Marmoush is being compared to.

The manager’s comments highlight just how much belief he has in Marmoush’s talent and potential. Guardiola’s endorsement also reflects the striker’s growth and the bright future he may have in English football.

Marmoush’s early success at Manchester City is not only a testament to his talent but also to his determination and ability to adapt quickly to a new league and system.

As the season progresses, all eyes will be on the Egyptian forward to see if he can maintain his excellent form and become a key figure in City’s attack. With Guardiola’s backing and his own momentum, Marmoush seems well-positioned to make a lasting mark in the Premier League.
