Tottenham hits with a huge points deduction over their illegal tactics used against Man United- The Reds have been fully compensated after latest VAR review shows Two big error in the match

BREAKING: Reports have sent shockwaves across the Premier League as claims emerged that Tottenham could face a significant points deduction following accusations of using improper tactics in their recent clash with Manchester United.

According to the latest VAR reassessment, two major officiating mistakes went against United, leading to suggestions that the Reds may now receive full compensation for the errors that influenced the match’s outcome.

However, while controversy surrounds the aftermath, Alan Shearer shifted focus to the quality on the pitch. Speaking on Match of the Day, the former England captain didn’t hold back his disappointment.

Shearer described the overall standard of play from both sides as “poor” and said the match lacked sharpness and cohesion, despite ending in dramatic fashion.

The encounter at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium had its share of storylines. Manchester United took the lead early through Bryan Mbeumo, who finished off a well-constructed move to silence the home crowd.

Tottenham responded late, with Mathys Tel and Richarlison turning the match around and appearing to secure all three points for Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Yet the game had one final twist: Matthijs de Ligt rose above everyone in stoppage time to head home a brilliant equalizer, rescuing a point for United.

Shearer agreed the draw was a fair outcome but insisted neither team could be satisfied with their performance levels.

He highlighted that Tottenham’s substitutes injected energy and helped shift momentum, but Manchester United’s changes failed to provide the same impact.

The injury to Benjamin Šeško which forced United to finish the match with ten men also made their task more difficult.

The Newcastle legend added that the match was especially disappointing considering the stakes. Both teams had the chance to climb to second place in the league table with a win, yet neither delivered the level of intensity or precision required at the top of the Premier League.

After the match, United boss Ruben Amorim shared his frustration. He admitted his side felt in control for large stretches and believed the victory was theirs for the taking.

But losing Harry Maguire and Casemiro to injuries, paired with defensive lapses that led to two conceded goals, shifted the momentum away from them.

Amorim stressed the importance of consistency and bravery, noting that United should have pressed harder and remained composed during key moments.

Despite the setbacks, he emphasized that securing at least a point when a win slips away is crucial, especially for a team still developing under his leadership.

As the league pauses for the November international break, Tottenham occupy fifth place, while Manchester United sit eighth after what has been an uneven start to the campaign.

United will return to action against Everton at Old Trafford, while Spurs prepare for a high-stakes North London Derby against Arsenal at the Emirates.
