Kylian Mbappe has completed his move ‘to join Real Madrid’ with agreement finally reached this morning to sign PSG star.

Kylian Mbappe is set to join Real Madrid after his contract with PSG expires at the end of the season, marking the culmination of long-standing rumors linking him to the Bernabeu.

As reported by Foot Mercato, the agreement between Mbappe and Real Madrid was reached recently, allowing the Frenchman to engage with other clubs starting from New Year’s Day due to his contractual situation.

Reports indicate that the financial terms of Mbappe’s agreement are lower than the offer presented by Real Madrid in 2022. The La Liga giants had identified Mbappe, 25, as their top transfer target several years ago and consistently pursued his signing every summer.

Despite their attempts, financial constraints prevented the move, especially after Karim Benzema’s departure to Saudi Arabia last summer, creating the need for a prominent striker.

Mbappe, refusing to extend his contract with PSG following the failed move, initially found himself excluded from the first team. However, manager Luis Enrique’s efforts brought him back into the fold in hopes of convincing him to stay in Paris. His six-and-a-half-year stint at the Parc des Princes has been prolific, with an astonishing 237 goals, averaging 35 goals per season. The initial transfer from Monaco to PSG in 2017 amounted to £160 million.
