Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has compiled a list of four potential candidates to replace Gabriel Jesus this upcoming summer.

Since his arrival at Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022, Gabriel Jesus has struggled to fulfill Mikel Arteta’s expectations of being a reliable goal scorer.

Persistent knee issues have plagued the Brazil international, sidelining him since January despite a brief appearance on the bench during Arsenal’s recent 4-1 victory over Newcastle United.

While the win propelled the Gunners within striking distance of Premier League leaders Liverpool, Jesus’ limited contribution underscores the team’s need for offensive reinforcements.

With just four league goals to his name this season, Jesus is eager to make a comeback, albeit under the careful supervision of Arsenal’s medical staff.

Given his history of fitness concerns, Arsenal is exploring the possibility of signing a new striker in the upcoming transfer window.

According to reports from the Daily Mail, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has compiled a shortlist of potential targets, including Ivan Toney, Victor Osimhen, Joshua Zirkzee, and Viktor Gyokeres.

Toney, who recently returned to action after serving an eight-month ban for breaching FA betting rules, has impressed with four goals in seven games for Brentford.

Osimhen, despite Napoli’s recent struggles, remains highly regarded and has contributed eight goals in 14 Serie A appearances.

Meanwhile, Zirkzee, a rising star at Bologna and formerly of Bayern Munich, possesses the physical attributes to thrive in the English game.

Sporting CP’s Gyokeres, who joined the Portuguese club from Coventry City last summer, has made an immediate impact with an impressive goal-scoring record.

In addition to bolstering their striking options, Arsenal may also seek reinforcements in midfield and on the wing.

As they prepare to face Sheffield United on Monday night, the Gunners are aware of the need to strengthen their squad to compete atthe highest level.
