This evening, Jose Mourinho has signed with a Premier League team!

Mourinho finds himself currently without a managerial position following his dismissal from AS Roma in January, a decision spurred by their Coppa Italia exit at the hands of bitter rivals Lazio and their ninth-place standing in Serie A.

However, since then, AS Roma has experienced a resurgence under the guidance of club legend Daniele De Rossi and is now firmly in contention for a Champions League spot.

Despite his departure from Roma, Mourinho has been the subject of speculation linking him to various managerial roles, with recent rumors suggesting a potential return to Chelsea for a third stint.

Mourinho himself addressed his future plans during a visit to the Formula 1 Saudi Arabia Grand Prix over the weekend, expressing his desire to return to management.

Reflecting on his tenure at Roma, Mourinho acknowledged the achievements, particularly reaching two European finals in two years, a feat previously unprecedented for the club.

However, he emphasized the importance of waiting for the right opportunity to arise before making his next career move, underscoring his eagerness to resume managerial duties but also his reluctance to rush into any decisions.

Meanwhile, Chelsea fans have made their admiration for Mourinho evident, chanting his name during a recent match against Brentford.

This display of support also included chants in favor of former owner Roman Abramovich, contrasting with disapproval voiced toward current head coach Mauricio Pochettino and chairman Todd Boehly.

Mourinho’s first stint at Chelsea, spanning from 2004 to 2007, was marked by significant success, including two consecutive Premier League titles and four domestic trophies.

However, his tenure was not without its disappointments, notably two Champions League semi-final exits at the hands of Liverpool.

Returning to Chelsea in 2013, Mourinho added another Premier League title and League Cup to his resume before parting ways with the club in 2015 amidst a turbulent season.

Subsequent managerial roles at Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur raised doubts about his Chelsea legacy, but recent fan support suggests lingering fondness for his past achievements at the club.
