The frustration was palpable for the Blues defender as he lamented what he perceived as Arsenal’s use of underhanded tactics and criticized their game plan.

Expressing bewilderment, he highlighted a particular incident in the first half involving a late tackle on Stefan Ortega by Kai Havertz, which he believed warranted a yellow card.

He emphasized the need for consistency in officiating, noting instances where decisions seemed perplexing and questioning the referee’s judgment.

The defender underscored the importance of enforcing the rules, especially regarding clear yellow card offenses.

He referenced another situation involving Jorginho, where he felt a second foul went unpunished, further fueling his frustration with the officiating.

Despite the contentious decisions, the defender acknowledged the team’s responsibility to capitalize on scoring opportunities.

He acknowledged the challenges posed by Arsenal’s tactics, which often disrupted City’s attacking momentum through tactical fouls. Without decisive intervention from the referee, overcoming such obstacles proved difficult.

While disappointed not to secure all three points against Arsenal, the defender remained optimistic about City’s prospects in the ongoing title race.

The draw leaves City in third place, trailing Arsenal by a single point and league leaders Liverpool by three points following their victory over Brighton.

Looking ahead, the defender and his teammates are focused on their upcoming fixture against Aston Villa, led by former Arsenal manager Unai Emery.

Despite the setback against Arsenal, City remains determined to keep their title aspirations alive and continue competing at the highest level.
