Terrible News for Real Madrid fans as two players who is supposed to be the main man against Man City in the Champions league has been injured in training and has been ruled out for 4 weeks

Militao, who has established himself as one of the premier center-backs globally, suffered a devastating knee injury early in the second half of the season opener against Athletic Club at San Mames in Bilbao.

This past weekend, he made a triumphant return, coming off the bench at the Bernabeu against the same opposition, marking a significant milestone in his journey back to full fitness.

Describing his emotions, the Brazilian expressed sheer joy and gratitude for the overwhelming support from the fans.

He acknowledged the challenges he faced during his recovery but emphasized that it was now time to savor the positive moment.

Militao found it particularly meaningful to make his comeback at home and against the club where he sustained the injury.

Following Sergio Ramos’ departure from Madrid in 2021, Militao stepped up as a regular starter, featuring prominently for the club in the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons, making a total of 101 appearances during that period.

Carlo Ancelotti faced additional defensive challenges with David Alaba sidelined for a significant portion of the campaign, depriving the manager of a stable center-back partner for Antonio Rudiger.

As a result, veteran club captain Nacho enjoyed an extended run of games in his preferred central position, having previously been deployed as a utility player throughout much of his career.

Madrid reaffirmed their faith in Militao’s abilities by extending his contract until 2028 in January. The new deal included a pay increase for the Brazilian, underscoring the club’s commitment to retaining his services.

Additionally, his release clause was set at an astronomical €1 billion, emphasizing Madrid’s desire to secure his long-term future at the club.

As the season enters its final stretch, there is speculation about whether Militao will have sufficient time to regain full fitness and stake his claim for a spot in the Brazil squad for the upcoming Copa America.
