In a distressing turn of events during Sheffield United’s match against Fulham, Premier League player Chris Basham endured a severe injury.

The current score stands at 0-0, but the game has been cast into the shadows by this catastrophic injury to the center-back.

The incident unfolded as the defender attempted a cross, leading to an unfortunate landing on his ankle. Regrettably, the ankle did not hold up, appearing to snap and resulting in a highly graphic scene.

The 35-year-old is expected to face a prolonged absence from the pitch, possibly spanning several months.
