Marcus Rashford responds to unfounded rumors on social media.

Marcus Rashford’s performance for Manchester United at the start of this season has been less than stellar, with only one goal in 14 appearances across all competitions. Moreover, he faced criticism from manager Erik ten Hag after he attended a nightclub for his birthday following a 3-0 derby defeat to Manchester City.

Ten Hag acknowledged that the matter was internal and mentioned that he had previously dropped Rashford for off-pitch reasons. In a twist of fate, Rashford was set to start a match against Fulham but was ruled out due to a heavy knock sustained in the final pre-match training session.

Rashford’s absence from the team meal attended by the rest of the first-team players following the Fulham game raised questions among fans, leading to discussions on social media and platforms like YouTube.

Some debated whether Rashford should be considered undroppable by Ten Hag when he’s fit, while others speculated about his future at the club.

Responding to such speculation, Rashford took to social media to express his displeasure, asking for a halt to the spreading of malicious rumors.

Despite the discussions surrounding his future, there haven’t been concrete links to a move away from Manchester United. This is in part due to the fact that Rashford signed a lucrative long-term contract with the club over the summer.

In the past, Rashford was courted by Paris Saint-Germain, the French champions, who were prepared to offer him a higher salary than what United put forth. However, he chose to remain at Old Trafford, declining their advances.

This decision came after a remarkable season for Rashford in which he scored an impressive 30 goals in all competitions and helped Manchester United secure the Carabao Cup, ending their six-year trophy drought.
