Pep Guardiola is expected to become the manager of this team after leaving Man City.

Fernandinho left City two years ago after nine seasons there, during which he won five Premier League titles, six League Cups, and one FA Cup.

During Guardiola’s time at the Etihad, the Brazilian played some of his finest football, and he has now revealed which national team the Spaniard is most likely to take over in the future.

The 53-year-old has declared that he wants to work in international management, and his present contract with City expires in 2025.

Fernandinho spoke on the Denilson Show about Guardiola’s future.

‘It’s difficult to determine whether Brazil will lead from the start. It’s quite tough to know.

‘There is a potential [he may coach Brazil], but I believe there are other countries that are on pace to have [Pep] Guardiola as their coach in the future.

‘No, I don’t think about Spain. The situation in Catalonia/Spain is well-known. I believe in England, as he is familiar with the players and surroundings, and possibly the Netherlands. Who is his football-playing father? (Johan Cruyff)

“I think we have to think outside the box…” A variety of factors will influence the style of play. I believe that by 2030, the 2030 cycle (for the FIFA World Cup). In other words, by 2026, he will be on a national squad.

After winning the Treble last season, he is now attempting to lead Manchester City to an unprecedented fourth Premier League title in a row.

Although national teams will likely be vying for his services, Fernandinho believes it will finally come down to England, Brazil, or the Netherlands.

Guardiola, who achieved unprecedented success at Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City, is widely regarded as one of the greatest football managers of all time.
