Extremely disheartening news regarding Erling Haaland has been reported on Sky Sports this morning, relating to an incident during international break training.

Concerns arose regarding the fitness of Manchester City’s striker after footage showed him visibly limping following a training session on Tuesday.

Pep Guardiola, the manager, had sent Haaland back to Norway, advising caution to City’s players during their friendly matches this week, given the upcoming intense competitive fixtures upon their return to Manchester.

Norway’s team doctor, Ola Sand, sought to downplay any worries about Haaland’s condition, and the striker himself has since confirmed that there is no injury.

Addressing the media before the friendly match, Haaland told TV2, “I’m feeling fine. I didn’t miss training. I don’t know who reported that.

I participated in the entire training session. I feel good and am ready to play in the match.” Manager Stale Solbakken has also affirmed that Haaland will be in the starting lineup for the game, barring any unforeseen injuries.

During the press interaction, Haaland was primarily focused on discussing Norway, as directed by the Norwegian FA.

He did offer a courteous response when comparing City teammate Kevin De Bruyne to compatriot and Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard, expressing his enjoyment in playing alongside both players.

Haaland also shared a light-hearted anecdote about Guardiola’s farewell remark, recalling how his manager jokingly warned the City squad against returning from the break fatigued.

“He said, ‘If any of you come back not feeling fresh, I’ll come after you,’ and he smiled,” the forward recounted.
